Clark Fork Crossing

  • ERG is currently permitting a pipeline crossing under the Clark Fork River to replace an old crossing which is no longer buried below scour depth due to channel migration. Permits required for a trench and fill project require the following six permits:– 404 permit (Federal)
              — 310 permit (County)
              — Land Use Easement (State)
              — Construction stormwater permit (State)
              — Floodplain Permit (County)
              — Short-term Water Quality Standard for Turbidity
               (318 permit, State)
              — Lakeshore Protection Act (County)
  • This project also included a Biological Assessment for bull trout including a toxicity analysis due to potential disturbance of soils containing heavy metals.
  • Soils samples were collected for metals analysis.
